Born in Moora, family 152 years on same land, schooling in Perth.

Retired Licensed Surveyor (35 years in land and engineering surveying, High rise Construction, Produced a “how to do” Conference Paper, used as text for teaching builders and Surveyors including at Singapore Polytechnic) town planning, subdivisions, soil and vegetation surveys  (7m acres various sections Yuna to Condingup) Kimberley rangeland surveys Derby to Mt House east to Halls Creek and all in between. Mining and Subdivisions, Director of three companies in the Industry, after 14 years Lands and Surveys, 6 years Articled Cadet after UWA Engineering School (Surveying) and National Service.

14.5 years Local Government Councillor, 6 of those years WALGA State Councillor.

Part time farmer 24 years (1970-1974) retired to farm on health grounds, 25 years various land care and NRM groups, 6 years Aquaculture on farm. Currently President Rural Water Council.
