Helen joined the team in September 2008; Helen lives in Dandaragan with husband Paul where they run an Agricultural Contracting Business.

Helen has the role of Executive Officer of the Moore Catchment Council and works 15 hours per week. Her key responsibilities are administering the Finances and doing the day to day administration of the group and project Management of the many projects undertaken by MCC, keeping projects on track, updating the website, keeping data bases up to date an informing members what is happening with the MCC.

Community Landcare Officer - Rachel Walmsley

Rachel has been a NRMO for MCC since early 2008. Rachel immigrated to Western Australia in 2007 with her partner Andrew and has qualifications in Earth Science (UK) and Sustainability (WA), and six years in waste management.

During her time with MCC she has worked on approximately 50 projects including salt land reclamation using saltbush, remnant bushland conservation on private and public land, Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo conservation, sustainable agriculture practices, Aboriginal engagement activities, Eco-tourism resources and coastal rehabilitation programs. Highlights include MCC’s Carnaby cockatoo conservation campaign with over 100,000 native plants established so far, and widespread publicity and community awareness of this endangered species. Rachel also enjoys wildflower photography and uses those images to promote the Moore’s vast array of natural assets for conservation and eco-tourism.
